Electrodeionization Systems of the UEDI Series
Continuous electrodeionization (EDI) systems are designed for final water polishing after reverse osmosis units. Standard configurations allow production of water meeting the most stringent quality requirements. The specific resistivity of deionized water at the UEDI outlet ranges from 10 to 17 MΩ·cm. These are reliable, fully integrated systems that significantly reduce installation and commissioning costs. No chemical reagents are required during operation. Skid-mounted UEDI units provide deionized water capacity from 0.5 to 100 m3/h at a feed water temperature of 5–45°C. The standard package includes the following equipment:
- electrical control panel and power supply
- Ionpure EDI module(s) (or equivalent)
- conductivity sensor — 1 pc
- set of pressure gauges — 1 set
- set of rotameters — 1 set
- PVC piping and shut-off valves
- control valves
Optional equipment:
- reverse osmosis permeate feed pumping station with variable frequency drive
- storage tank with level sensors
- solenoid valve for feed water

- water pretreatment system, including reverse osmosis units
Depending on specific operating conditions and Customer requirements, the equipment configuration may be modified.

- conductivity (including CO2) < 40 µS/cm
- CO2 concentration < 3 mg/L
- feed water source — reverse osmosis permeate or equivalent
- feed water temperature: 5–45°C
- chlorine (Cl2) < 0.02 mg/L
- iron (Fe) < 0.01 mg/L
- manganese (Mn) < 0.01 mg/L
- sulfides (S-) < 0.01 mg/L
- pH 4–11
- hardness < 20 µg-eq/L (optimal — < 5 µg-eq/L)
- TOC < 0.5 ppm
- silica SiO2 < 1 mg/L (optimal — < 0.2 mg/L)
- feed water pressure — from 2.0 to 7.0 atm
- ambient air temperature — 5–35°C
- humidity — not more than 70%
- electrical parameters — 380 V, 50 Hz, 1–45 kW
- availability of a drainage system and a storage tank
