Multi-Cartridge Filters of the FMP Series

FMP series filters are used for microfiltration of neutral (including deionized water) as well as aggressive liquid and gaseous media from mechanical and colloidal particles.

Depending on the operating conditions, single-cartridge filter housings (for installation of one filter element with a height from 130 to 1000 mm) and multi-cartridge filter housings (for parallel installation of several cartridge filter elements with a height from 250 to 1000 mm in a single housing) are manufactured. Filters can be equipped with filter elements having a filtration rating of 0.1…250 µm (membrane, depth, mesh types).

Materials used for filter manufacturing:

• polypropylene grade 21060-016 (GOST 26996-86);
• stainless steel grade 12Х18Н10Т (GOST 5632-72, or AISI 304) or AISI 316L stainless steel.

Depending on filtration conditions, the optimal design of the filter housings is recommended to the Customer. Filters for purification of deionized water and highly aggressive liquids can also be manufactured and supplied (wetted parts and filter elements made of polypropylene or fluoroplastic).

The standard filter configuration includes the following equipment:

• filter housing with installed filter elements;
• additional set of filter elements for the first replacement.

Optional equipment:

Depending on specific operating conditions, filtration units can be supplied, including several filters mounted on a common frame with piping, shut-off valves, and instrumentation.

Main operating conditions for FMP filters:

• feed water pressure — from 2.0 to 4.0 atm;
• ambient air temperature — 5–35°C.

When potable-quality water (turbidity < 1 mg/L) is supplied to the inlet of FMP filters, these filters may be used without pretreatment. If more contaminated water must be treated, installation of pretreatment filters (multimedia, disc, or screen filters) is required.

The technical data table lists the main characteristics of the base FMP models equipped with filter elements rated at 5 µm. Upon the Customer’s request, filter units with a capacity of up to 200 m³/h can be manufactured.
